Camp Randall Stadium. Camp Randall Stadium, one of college football’s most historical and revered venues, reopened its doors after nearly five years of renovation. The University of Wisconsin Athletic Department ushers in this new era with a season-long campaign called, “Celebrate the Legacy.” Built in 1917, Camp Randall Stadium is one of America’s largest school-owned stadiums with a seat capacity of 80,321. The stadium hosts, not only UW-Madison football games, but also Green Bay Packer exhibition games, Drum Corps International, outdoor concerts, and many large events. Camp Randall Stadium is located at 1440 Monroe Street, on the corner of Monroe and Regent Streets.
Kohl Center. The Kohl Center honors U.S. Senator Herb Kohl (D-Wisconsin), who graduated from University of Wisconsin in 1956 and donated $25 million dollars to his alma mater. Goodman Diamond. The Robert and Irvin Goodman Softball Complex is located at 3001 University Bay Dr. With overlooking views of Lake Mendota, new playing field, top-notch dugouts, covered grandstands, comfortable player’s lounge, large press box, and more, Goodman softball facility is considered to be 1 of the 5 top in the nation. The Robert and Irvin Goodman Softball Complex has an estimated capacity of 1,600.The Dan McClimon Memorial Track/Soccer Field. The Dan McClimon Memorial Track/Soccer Field houses UW’s track and soccer teams. Named after a former UW coach, the Dan McClimon Memorial Track/Soccer Field has a resurfaced 400 meter rubber track, an Olympic-size, all-natural grass soccer field, and is considered to be one of the best combinations facilities in the mid-west. The Dan McClimon Memorial Track/Soccer Field has a total capacity of 4,500 for its field events. [Top]
Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Donated to the University of Wisconsin in 1968 by Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Nielsen, the Nielsen Tennis Stadium offers 12 indoor tennis courts, tennis lessons and pro shop, 6 squash racquet courts, 1 doubles squash court, showers, a locker area, and upper-level seating to facilitate over 1,500 tennis fans.
