An impressive feast of all the senses, this magical holiday dinner at the UW Memorial union starts in the Main Lounge at 5:45Pm with hors d'oevres and a bowl of Wassail, a traditional European holiday punch. Attendees will then move into the Grand hall for the presentation of the Boar's head, followed by the Grand Professional, caroling and a multi-course dinner. Feast on a full menu, starting with a mixed green salad with craisins, Gordonzola and balsamic vinaigrette. Move on to the main course, osso buco- style boneless braised short ribs over Parmesan polenta with buttered green beans and parsley. For vegetarians, a stuffed veggie "turkey" with gravy over garlic mashed and green beans will be served. throughout the dinner, enjoy strolling minstrels, wine service and a cash bar for cocktails. Finally, indulge in a ceremonial serving of figgy Pudduing, a special Yuletide toast and celebration of singing the Philharmonic Chorus of Madison.
